I haven't had a career, but I have had many jobs. I have over three decades of work experience, with a broad range of positions, to include but not limited to farmhand, firefighter, carpenter, handyman, soldier, novelist, editor, recording secretary, financial planning columnist, stockbroker, retirement plan specialist, pension plan salesman, door-to-door salesman, teacher, and, dare I say it, Mr.Mom. And I've been a lot of places, and seen a lot of things. For example, I've seen two revolutions firsthand, one as a grad student at a university in that country and the other as a part of the US Embassy mission in that country. I am happiest when I am catching wild snakes for my kids to handle or watching one of my daughters score the winning goal for her soccer team. My writing is informed by the above.
